Upload Submissions for Our Current Issue!

Current Issue Theme:

We are pleased to announce that the submission period for our next issue of Westmarch is now open!

This issue is titled "In Love with Suffering," which comes from Fyodor Dostoevsky's Notes from the Underground. Please send us your poetry, short fiction, or criticism inspired by Dostoevsky or any of his works, as well as the themes of suffering, loneliness, tenacity, bleak winters, and holding out for spring.

Please submit your writing in a Word or google doc in MLA format. Submissions must be under 6,000 words and are due Tuesday, November 4, at 11:59 pm. In your submission, please indicate your name, class standing, and major, if you have declared one.

If you’re unsure whether your piece fits the theme, please reach out and ask! Or better yet, submit it anyway! We may still use it in a later issue!

Also, as a reminder:

Any piece published in Westmarch this year will be eligible to win CASH PRIZES!

There will be a $50 "Editor's Choice" prize for one piece in each category (Poetry, Fiction, and Criticism) given to our favorite piece published in each category this year!

We look forward to reading your work!

Best,

Trevor Good

Editor-in-Chief of Westmarch
